Samantha Ferrari named Rotary District 7210’s “Rookie of the Year” for her efforts to raise funds for a Rotary college scholarship.
Stan Martin of Warwick has been named to the Rotary District 7210 Hall of Fame. District 7210 consists of almost 60 service clubs in New York’s eight-county Mid-Hudson. Laura Barca, immediate past president of the Warwick Valley Rotary Club, presented the award during the July 12 club meeting at the Landmark Inn. Martin is a former Warwick Rotary president, four-term assistant governor and community service chair for District 7210. Samantha Ferrari also was honored as Rotary District 7210’s “Rookie of the Year.” While a candidate for Rotary membership earlier this year, Ferrari, then 22 years old, volunteered and chaired a successful fund-raiser at the Warwick Drive-In Theater to raise funds for a Rotary college scholarship.
