The inability for fund-raising activities at this time is impacting all non-profits.
Nevertheless, members of the Warwick Valley Rotary Club remain involved with the community, even with the restrictions of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
And Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center, like so many non-profits, is also struggling without funding to continue providing valuable services.
“There are so many special need individuals that rely on the therapy provided by the majestic horses at Winslow,” said Tina Buck, immediate past president of Warwick Valley Rotary, “and regardless of incoming funds, the horses need to be fed and cared for.”
The Warwick Valley Rotary club is also lacking the funding to provide the resources it has always been able to provide, but the members decided to provide an additional donation to Winslow as it did for the food pantries and food service organizations.
“We are grateful to still be able to give donations, at least until our funds run out,” said Buck when she recently presented a check for $250 to Sue Ferro, executive director of Winslow Therapeutic Riding Center.
