The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market is offering a $500 scholarship for a local student interested in the agricultural or culinary fields. The deadline to apply is April 30.
The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market has announced the formation of a new scholarship award for students who reside within the Town of Warwick and all its hamlets, Village of Warwick, Village of Florida, Village of Greenwood Lake and the children of The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market vendors.
“The Warwick Valley Farmers’ Market strongly believes in the young people of our community becoming the leaders of tomorrow,” organizers said in the press release detailing the scholarship, “and is offering one scholarship for a student going on to higher education.”
This scholarship award in the amount of $500 will be given to a college-bound senior who is pursuing a career in the agricultural or culinary fields.
