Louise Daubert, 95, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at the Carlucci Home for Ladies in Greenville, N.Y., on March 14, 2025.

She was born Sept. 9, 1929, in New Milford, N.Y., to German immigrants Catherine R. and Peter Wilhelm. She spoke often about her wonderful childhood and family and growing up on a dairy farm.

On Feb. 19, 1950, she married the love of her life, Herbert R. Daubert. They were married for 33 years until his passing in 1983.

After the death of her husband, she enjoyed a loving relationship with her special friend, Sam Garcia. He passed away in 2010.

Louise was employed for many years as a teacher’s aide in the special education wing of Orange-Ulster BOCES. She was a past officer of the Warwick VFW Auxiliary, a former president of the Warwick Seniors and a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Pine Island and past officer of the church’s Ladies Aid Society.

She was a dedicated homemaker and baker. She spoiled us with wonderful meals that highlighted her German heritage. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, fishing and going to yard sales.

She was predeceased by her five sisters: Minnie Langlitz, Lena Langlitz, Amelia Ochs, Helen Martin and Ester Felker; and four brothers: Peter, Alexander, Henry and William Wilhelm. She is survived by son, Richard H. Daubert and his wife Barbara of Warwick, daughter, Kathleen L. Pomes and her husband Gary of Milford, Pa., and her daughter Lisa A. Schmick of Westtown.

Louise was so loved by six grandchildren: Christopher Daubert and his wife Jennifer, Derrick Daubert, Christina Pomes, Marybeth Jordan and her husband Jared, Kyle Schmick and Keith Schmick. She was the proud great-grandmother to four: Cristin and Jillian Daubert and Parker and Macy Jordan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. They all will remember her loving smile and warm embrace. She is also survived by her lifelong friend and yard sale buddy, Tess Cassanite.

Witty, fun and gregarious, she experienced life with joy. Her strength and compassion were inspiring. We are blessed to have called her Mom.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. She will be interred next to her husband Herbert in Warwick Cemetery.

Our family is so appreciative to the Carlucci Home for Ladies in Greenville where Louise lived for the past 3 1/2 years. She was treated as family and given much loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Louise’s memory may be sent to Warwick Ambulance, PO Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990 or the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O. Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
