Jean Crone of Brick, N.J., passed away peacefully at Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was 84 years old.
She was born in South Amboy, N.J., on Sept. 22, 1940, to Paul and Marie (Viscio) Wilchek.
Jean was a retired school bus driver for Durham Bus Company in Freehold, N.J.
Jean was a parishioner of St. Catherine’s Parish in North Middletown, N.J., where she was a lay reader and a Eucharistic minister, as well as an active member of the Rosary Altar Society.
Jean loved to dance and was a vibrant member of the Middletown Ramblers Dance Group. She was also an active member of the Keyport Seniors Citizens Group and very active in her Greenbriar community as well.
Jean is survived by her son David and his wife Lucia; grandchildren: Brendan Crone; Tierney Campbell and her husband Geoffrey; Emma Amberger and her husband James; and Connor Crone and his wife Shannon; great-grandchildren: Violet, Theodore and Molly; sister-in-law Julia Cameron and her family: son Paul and his daughter Crystal.
She was predeceased by her parents and then husband Jerome in 2003.
Visitation was held March 30 at Christ Church, 50 South St., Warwick. A reception, which included a funeral service, followed in the parish hall.
Burial took place March 31 in St. Joseph Cemetery, Keyport, N.J.
