Eileen Killeen

Eileen Killeen of Warwick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was 98 years old.

Born in Montreal, Canada, on July 14, 1927, as Eileen Waddleton Killeen, she was one of eight children.

Eileen was known for her positive personality, kindness, strength and her unwavering love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She met and married her husband John after meeting in Newfoundland, Canada, and were blessed with many loving years prior to John’s passing in 2006. They raised their family in Warwick.

Surviving Eileen are:Sonss John and his wife Lisa and Robert and his wife Janine; daughters Eileen Knapp and her husband Sanford; and Susan Killeen.

Grandmother to: Alan VanDuzer, Michael Knapp, Kimberly Knapp Leone, Shawn Killeen, Ryan Killeen, Michael Killeen and Alex Killeen.

Great-grandmother to Landon, Blake, and Isabelle Leone, Aiden and Olivia VanDuzer, Colton and Lillian Knapp and Kaylee Killeen.

Sister to Leona; and Aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by her husband John; and five siblings: Russell, Ronald, James, Patricia, Virginia and Janice.

The family received friends for visitation on Tuesday, March 25, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, March 26, at St. Stephen’s RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, with interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Galloway Road and Forester Avenue, Warwick.

The family would like to thank The Promenade of Middletown for providing Mom’s final years filled with friends and joy playing Bingo. She was a true inspiration to many of the residents there.

Flowers would be graciously received, or donations may be made in Eileen’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
