The Warwick Historical Society invites all local residents to celebrate its 119th birthday with a special open house on Sunday, April 6, from 1-4 p.m.

This free event offers a rare opportunity to explore several of Warwick’s most treasured historic properties and learn more about the society’s work in preserving local history.

You’re invited to step inside The Meeting House; visit Warwick’s oldest residence, The Shingle House; and tour the beautifully recreated 1810 Ketchum House. Volunteer docents will be on hand at each location to share stories and historical insights about these remarkable sites.

Guests will start their journey at the A.W. Buckbee Events Center, where they can pick up maps of the open properties, enjoy free refreshments and meet members of the society’s board and staff. They can also learn about volunteer opportunities, membership and the important work of preserving Warwick’s history for future generations.

Registration is not needed. Simply show up the Events Center, 2 Colonial Ave., to begin your trip into the past.
