WARWICK. A musical interlude then down to business at the local library

| 01 Apr 2025 | 02:00

The Albert Wisner Public Library will hold the following events during April:

Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m.

Music on McFarland presents “The Music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn” with Vinnie Cutro on trumpet and Mitch Schechter on piano. Part musical performance, part history lesson, the musicians will demonstrate what made this collaboration so remarkable, and why it continues to delight listeners nearly 100 years later.

Tuesday, April 8 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

The 2025/2026 tax levy and trustee election. Two library trustees, Mark Damia and Nora Aman-Gurvich, are seeking re-election. Kristen Georgi, a longtime Warwick resident, is also on the ballot and running for Trustee. Trustees must be residents of the Warwick Valley Central School District and serve five-year terms. Ballots must be cast in person at the library.

Monday, April 21 at 7 p.m.

The library board of trustees will hold its monthly meeting. The public is welcome. For more information, call Lisa Laico at 845-986-1047, ext. 7.
