On Dec. 15, the Backpack Snack Attack Community Benefit Concert was held at the Warwick Reformed Church. The program opened with a welcome and blessing by Rev. Stacey Duensing. Introductions and thanks were given by host Joe Sclafani. Backpack founder Shirley Pruett also spoke at event. The Backpack Champion Award for 2019 was awarded to Linda Kurtz, secretary of the church. In the concert E'lissa Jones performed with Hudson Valley Ebony Strings during the first half of the evening. 3D Rhythm of Life performed during the second half. On Sunday, Dec. 8, the Rev. Stacey Duensing was installed as pastor at the Warwick Reformed Church. The Sunday afternoon service included 20 pastors from the town of Warwick and Orange County. Members of her family from out of state attended the affair as well. After the program, food was provided for everyone. The Rev. Marcy Rudins gave the charge to Duensing for her new position.
