According to the web site Active Angling New Zealand, “Foggy days can hold opportunities for sight fishing. Fog reduces the light levels considerably, but it also produces a very uniform, diffuse type of soft illumination, which results in little or no glare off the water. Department of Environmental Conservation, the lake, located in the Village of Florida, is a shallow weedy lake that provides anglers with some shore access but is perfect for a small rowboat or canoe.
