Golden Hill Elementary fifth-graders Sierra Grove, Olivia Perez, AIden Caldwell, Felix You and Kathleen Conlon were among the members of the school's Junior Wellness and Youth Ending Hunger teams involved in a community-wide effort to collect food items for the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition to 27 Thanksgiving dinner baskets, donations gave a boost to the Backpack Snack Attack, an outreach program that provides supplemental nutrition to students when school is not in session.
