The hard work ahead for 'We the people'

I have been angry for several years as I have watched what the financial collapse has been doing to our country. We shouldn’t be paying for this mess; we didn’t make it. “We the People” elect Congress and we are in the best position to tell them what to do. However, we do not assert ourselves and therefore become the victims of the most greedy, destructive and fraudulent members of our society. For years the powerful banks, investment firms and developers have raped our economy and have left us to suffer the consequences. We bailed them out to prevent further job losses and they continued with business as usual. What can we do that will make a difference? Contact our representatives in Washington or at their local offices, for starters. By letting them know what we think of their policies, we will drive home the fact that we are aware of what’s going on. If they want to keep their jobs, they had better pay attention and work hard for “We the People.” Jerry Schacher Warwick
