Sommer is ‘dedicated and principled'

To the editor: It is with great pleasure that I add my name to the long list of people supporting Janne Sommer for election to the Orange County Legislature on Nov. 8. I support Janne Sommer, not because she is one of the “old boy” network of politicians, but because I know her as a truly exceptional human being - a smart, savvy motivated human being who simply believes in contributing to her community and the common good. Born in Ireland, educated at Queens University, she taught English for 15 years before returning to college to earn her Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University and her law degree from New York Law School. She has been a practicing attorney for 14 years and has still found time to be an active volunteer and board member of the Winslow Therapeutic Center, the Warwick Day Care and the Warwick Lions Club - all organizations with a goal of unselfishly serving our community. Janne Sommer is the kind of dedicated and principled person I want as a member of the Orange County Legislature. I am proud to support her election. John Stage Warwick
