This is the same country that organized scrap metal drives nearly eighty years ago to save the world from the menace of Hitler and the axis powers.
It’s the same country that rationed petro, butter and coffee and other things for the purpose of having more of these things for the troops fighting on the battlefields of Europe and the Pacific.
Today, we are unable to persuade so huge a number of the grandchildren of those same Americans who sacrificed so much eight decades ago to even wear a face mask to protect their fellow citizens - and themselves - from sickness and death.
“Disgusting” and “pathetic” are words too polite.
