Thanks for the help in creating an oasis for butterflies and pollinators

| 10 Jul 2023 | 12:26

Warwick Valley Gardeners recently celebrated the grand opening of the newly installed water feature in the Butterfly Garden at Pine Island Park.

This water feature will supply a crucial water source for butterflies and other pollinators.

The Butterfly Garden and Habitat is an oasis for our pollinators. There is an alarming decrease in all pollinators due to habitat loss, climate change, disease and pesticides.

Pollinators are critical for 85% of the world’s flowering plants and 2/3 of the world’s crops. They are needed to pollinate the apples and onions that are so important to Warwick’s farming industry.

We wish to thank the donors for their very generous contributions which made this amazing water feature in the heart of our fabulous farmland a reality.
