I wonder

    This morning, January 19, as I walk ... I wonder ....

I wonder how this road I walk, which is a main artery to three Warwick schools, how it is so seemingly quiet and peaceful?

I wonder about the youth, heading back to schools earlier this morning after a long break, how are they coping in this ever changing scenario of COVID, government, social media and more?

Then I wonder why this quiet peaceful road is strewn with crushed cans and empty bottles obviously thrown from cars?

I wonder why someone who is granted the privilege to drive is consuming alcohol while driving or allowing it in their vehicle?

I wonder if the consumption is happening in the early morning along this main route to school, or if it is late at night?

I wonder if you know the popular choice is Twisted Tea, Bud Light and flavored Smirnoff?

I wonder if the concern about COVIDtesting is more important than Blood Alcohol testing?

I wonder if there is a way to intervene with the youth who are not privileged enough with age and experience to know the reality of these choices.

I wonder if there is a need for this concerning issue to be addressed as seriously as the COVID issue is being addressed.

I wonder if you know someone, or know someone - who knows someone, who might be taking part in this dangerous pastime?

I wonder if we, as parents, are really checking in with our children - really checking in?

I wonder if there is any one, any way, any how this can be made a priority to address in your home and in our schools?

    I wonder ....
