Warwick teen charged in Sugar Loaf burglaries

SUGAR LOAF-Town of Chester Police have charged a 16-year-old Warwick resident with three counts of burglary and two counts of petty larceny for burglarizing three Sugar Loaf businesses. As business owners came in to open their businesses Sunday morning, Sept. 15, about 10:30 am, they noticed that their businesses had been burglarized. An undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise was stolen. Some of the cash has been recovered by police. Town of Chester Police Det. Sal Ardisi was able to identify the person responsible for the burglaries and take him into custody the morning of Sept. 29. The suspect was arraigned in Town of Chester Court and sent to Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail. He is due back in town court on Oct. 17.
