Warwick man arrested for drug possession

    Goshen — The Town of Goshen Police Department arrested a 19-year-old Warwick man earlier this week after they said they found more than 16 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, numerous hits of suspected LSD, an illegal dagger and marijuana in his car. Police stopped Jeremy S. Charnow's vehicle on Cross Road for traffic law violations on Cross Road on Monday, Aug. 29. It was during the stop that police said they discovered the illegal drugs. Charnow was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned before Goshen Town Justice Thomas Cione and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. He is scheduled to reappear in court on Sept. 17.
