Warwick Gardens' owners celebrate first anniversary
Warwick Warwick Gardens, a greenhouse and nursery with a focus on quirky annuals and perennials, celebrated its first year anniversary on Saturday, May 6. The center is a full-service resource for gardening enthusiasts, as well as green thumb wannabees who may need a little guidance. It features a wide selection of new and different plants, organic soils and fertilizers, garden tools, pots and trellises, copper-roofed birdhouses, and other assorted gardenware. Owners Jennifer Wardell, a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill with a bachelor’s in horticulture, and her husband Tom Revelle, have been part of the Warwick community since they moved here two years ago. Wardell gets satisfaction from introducing local plant lovers to a selection of annuals and perennials they’re not likely to find anywhere else. “Seeing first-time customers get so excited about our plant offerings makes it all so very worthwhile,” she said. In addition to running the greenhouse, Wardell writes freelance for Organic Gardening Magazine, and offers garden design and small garden installation services. Warwick Gardens is open daily.
