    Amy Lynne VanFossen of Warwick, a 2000 Warwick Valley High School graduate, received an honors B.S. degree with distinction from the University of Delaware. Supported by a grant from theHoward Hughes Medical Institute, her research and senior thesis dealt with the Expression of GPCR's. GPCR's are amino acids that bind well with pharmaceuticals and play an important role in the treatment of cancer and heart disease. She will continue her studies and research in the fall as a PhD candidate in Chemical Engineering at North Carolina State University. Alana Akacki was named to the spring Dean's List at the College of Saint Rose. Mary Catherine Pfund of Warwick received a bachelor of science degree in communications - TV and digital film during graduating ceremonies at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Katharine Havriliak, daughter of Joanne Havriliak of Warwick and the late Russell Havriliak, has been named to the Dean's List at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. She is a junior. Krista Feichtinger, a grade 11 student at Northfield Mount HErmon School in Massachusetts, has been named to the school's academic honor roll. Regina M. Walsh, daughter of Edward and Mary Walsh of Warwick, was named to the Dean's List at Marist College. She is a psychology major and a member of the class of 2004. Nicole Martin, daughter of Edward and Mary-Jo Martin of Warwick, was named to the Dean's List at Marist College. She is majoring in psychology and criminal justice and is a member of the class of 2007. Warwick residents Ruth Bowles, Pamela Durante, Kammylou Cabral, Joseph Pergolizzi and Arthur Christensen have received bachelor's degrees from Empire State College in Hartsdale. Daniel F. Lendzian of Warwick was named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York at Fredonia.
