Warwick. Warwick vs. North Rockland athletics to compete April 29 in the Wounded Warrior Project Challenge
Warwick High School Athletics will host the ninth annual Wounded Warrior Project Challenge taking on the North Rockland Red Raiders in every spring sport to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
The event begins Saturday, April 29, with a 9 a.m. breakfast for the athletes at the Warwick Valley High School South Cafeteria.
Warwick will be hosting Wounded Warrior Project speaker Nick Morrison at 10 a.m. who will be traveling from Indianapolis to share his story and the mission of the Wounded Warrior Project.
The public is welcome to attend.
At 11 a.m., Warwick and North Rockland Varsity and JV Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Golf, and Lacrosse teams will play in the name of the Wounded Warrior Project.
The athletes are asked to make a suggested $25 donation which will support the breakfast, WWP T- shirts and a contribution to WWP.
Each school earns two points for a varsity win and 1 point for a JV win. The overall record is North Rockland 5 wins, Warwick 2 and 1 tie. Warwick has won 2 of the last three years.
T- shirts will be on sale throughout the event and donations will be accepted in the Athletic Director’s office during the week and at the event Saturday.
