Early setbacks and penalties were too much to overcome as the Warwick Wildcats lost to the Middletown Bears on Friday, Oct. 22, by a score of 28 to 7.
The focus has turned to Pine Bush this coming Friday night, Oct. 29, in a league match.
Warwick, with an overall record of 5-3, controls its own destiny. A win will put the Wildcats into the Section IX AA Football semifinals with a rematch with either NFA or Monroe Woodbury.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at C. A. Morgan Field. Wildcat seniors will be recognized before the game.
