Soccer captain Flynn named M-W athlete of the week

    Central Valley - Conor Flynn, team captain of the varsity soccer team, has been recognized as Monroe-Woodbury High School’s athlete of the week. A three-year varsity player, Flynn, a senior, is the team’s leading soccer even though he plays on defense in the sweeper position. He also is considered one of the best soccer players in Section 9. He maintains an “A” average and hopes to play soccer next year in college. Each week, the high school’s Athletic Department recognizes a student or students who maintain a high degree of success in all areas pertaining to academics while also demonstrating good citizenship and outstanding game sportsmanship.
