WARWICK — In a perfect fit to an outstanding Homecoming Weekend, the Warwick community embraced the newest Hall of Fame members at halftime of the Warwick-FDR football game.
The crowd of more than 3,000 welcomed Warwick’s three inductees.
Jose Guadalupe attended Warwick Valley High School as a student who lived at Pius in Sugar Loaf. Guadalupe graduated in 1968 as one of Warwick’s most accomplished athletes.
Many of his friends and family from Pius returned for his induction (some from as far as California and Chicago).
Jack DeGraw enters the Hall of Fame as an accomplished tight end and defensive lineman. During his four-year career, the Wildcats only lost two games.
Both Guadalupe and DeGraw played under Coach Joseph Green.
Anthony Mann graduated Class of 1992 as team captain and played on the heralded 1990 and 1991 teams under Joseph Viglione that won an intersectional Title.
Leo Kaytes Ford, Fratello’s and Warwick Sanitation sponsored the event.
