Erik Vogt commits to Wentworth Institute
Warwick. Lacrosse standout to play for W.I.T in the Boston area
Erik Vogt’s effort in the classroom and on the athletic fields paid big dividends, resulting in a roster spot on the Wentworth Institute of Technology lacrosse team and admittance into its highly competitive engineering program.
The two-year varsity attackman will graduate WVHS with honors and a 99.6 overall GPA.
He is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society, Robotics Club and a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete for Lacrosse.
W.I.T. Head Coach Dan Russo of recruited Vogt. The Leopards compete in the NCAA Commonwealth Coastal Conference (CCC) against the likes of University of New England, Western New England, Roger Williams, Endicott and Gordon among others.
Vogt is the second Warwick lacrosse player to announce he will play at the collegiate level. Last week, James Conklin decided to attend Hartwick College in Oneonta where he will play lacrosse for the Hawks.
