Just before the beginning of this year, Warwick ShopRite on Route 94S began offering an innovative online shopping service that allows you to order your groceries from your home or office and have all your shopping performed for you, even on this busy Super Bowl weekend. Briefly explained, you can place your order at home, arrive at ShopRite at your convenience, drive up to a special check out area, have the order placed in your trunk and pay as usual with cash, credit card or check, without ever leaving the car. If that’s not convenient enough or if you can’t leave the house for any reason, a driver will deliver your order to the door, even if you live as far away as Pine Island or Vernon, N.J. “After receiving your online order, ShopRite from Home personal shoppers will hand select your items with your total satisfaction in mind,” said Warwick ShopRite Manager Bernie McGoldrick. “We select your groceries right here in your local ShopRite, not at a central location. And we make sure that it’s the quality and best value you can expect from the people you know and trust.” Personal shopper McGoldrick added that to insure quality and customer satisfaction, personal shoppers will ask department managers to fresh cut meats and select produce and other perishables in your behalf and to your specification. Then your completed order will be divided by product and kept in an appropriately identified basket, cooler or freezer until pick-up or delivery. “And if you have any questions or last-minute instructions with your order, just call the store and talk to your shopper,” said ShopRite from Home Manager Margaret Vella. She explained that by visiting www.shoprite.com shoppers can simply click on any item in the store’s inventory or even make a special request for an item not shown. Special orders and coupons “Every item is listed by category,” said Vella, “and you can easily select special sales including those advertised in the most recent circular. The codes are automatically entered with your selection.” Personal shoppers upload orders to hand-held devices and scan each item to make sure it’s the exact product, size and brand selected. Customers can also add additional notes with their orders such as, “Cut the steak one inch thick.” And if the personal shopper has a question or an item is not available, he or she will call you. ShopRite from Home customers also enjoy all the benefits of the Price Plus Club Card, including Price Plus Club discounts and savings on featured items, points towards free turkeys and hams and all other rewards and savings including some last minute specials or discounts that may not have been available at the time of the order. Manufacturer coupons will also be credited to the next order.
