Saving energy and money at the library
Warwick The Albert Wisner Public Library will present “Improving Energy Efficiency in Your Home: Saving Energy and Money” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 2 Colonial Ave. in Warwick. Dr. William Makofske will discuss the many things a homeowner can do to reduce energy bills for heating, hot water and appliance use. The program will cover both long and short term approaches for improving efficiency and saving energy that will be applicable to many homeowners. A question and answer session will focus on answering specifics, and attendees are encouraged to come prepared with questions. Makofske is a professor of physics at Ramapo College of New Jersey, where he teaches a number of courses on energy efficiency, solar energy, and sustainable building design.
