Boxes for Soldiers begins annual collection

Collection sites will be in several places in Warwick, Goshen and Chester

Boxes for Soldiers annual Care Package Drive for requested items will begin April 20 and run through April 30.The items sought for donation have been requested by troops serving at four overseas locations. Donation collection bins will be placed at a number of sites in Warwick and surrounding towns.

“We shipped 2150 lbs. of goods in 2021 and hope to surpass that this year,” said Kendall Kless, an organizer.

2022 REQUESTED ITEMS LIST

Items are being shipped to troops in Africa.

FOOD ITEMS

Freezer flavor pops (Gatorade preferred)

Electrolyte single serving powder packets for water bottles, e.g. Propel, Gatorade

Healthy snacks: nuts, jerky, dried fruit, Trail Mix, protein bars

Tuna packets

Cookies & Snacks

Candy bars (no Chocolate please)

EXERCISE & MORALE ITEMS

Mesh Sports Jerseys

Volleyballs, basketballs, soccer balls, footballs (Please deflate for shipping!)

Badminton equipment

Bowling yard games

Corn Hole Bags

Stretch Bands & Jump Ropes

Pool balls & chalk

MISC

American Flags (3’x 5’ suggested)

Small area rugs (36” x 40” or so)

Items are being collected from April 20th- April 30th and can be dropped off at: Amore’s Pizza, Goshen; McGovern/Kaplicki Team @ Keller-Williams Realty, Middletown; Chester Library; Patriotic Ins., Chester; Florida Library; Warwick Town Hall; Leo Kaytes Ford, Warwick; Albert Wisner Public Library, Warwick; Anytime Fitness Gym, Warwick.
