Library to change catalog system Warwick Albert Wisner Public Library’s online catalog system will be transferred to new software from Monday to Wednesday, Dec. 5 to 7. The current software used by Albert Wisner and the 46 other libraries in the Ramapo Catskill Library System is being phased out. After thorough research of available alternate systems and their related costs, the RCLS libraries collectively selected a new software package called Symphony, produced by SirsiDynix. The Library will be open during these days and programs will take place as scheduled; patrons will also be able to borrow materials and e-content and use the public computers as usual. However, during these three days, no holds will be able to be placed, as the system will be down. Patrons are encouraged to call the Library’s Help Desk at 986-1047, ext. 3 to request that an item be placed on hold. The staff will maintain a list of requests and place holds once the system is restored on Dec. 8. Further, any items returned to the Library (to Albert Wisner Library or to any RCLS library) will not be able to be checked in officially until the system is restored on Dec. 8. No fines will accrue during this period, so patrons are encouraged to return their materials on or after Dec. 8. The library will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 8, for staff training and to process backlogged materials. It will reopen on Friday, Dec. 9 at 9 a.m. The Church of the Good Shepherd will host Thanksgiving service in Greenwood Lake Greenwood Lake The Thanksgiving Ecumenical community service will be hosted by the Church of the Good Shepherd at 62 Windermere Ave. in Greenwood Lake on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 7 p.m. The Interfaith Choir will lead the singing.
