New pastor joins St. Peter's Church in Pine Island

The Rev. Travis James Lee was installed Aug. 31 as the new pastor of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church on Little York Road in Pine Island. The pastor, who is 26, grew up on Staten Island and received his bachelor’s degree in Judeo-Christian Heritage from Concordia University in Bronxville in 2004. He is engaged to Phyllis McGuirck, who holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education and psychology from Queens College in Flushing. They plan to marry on Nov. 7. Pastor Travis will live in the Village of Warwick and will be joined by Phyllis once they are wed.
