Warwick — Heavy rains on the heels of Tropical Storm Irene last week resulted in flooding throughout the area. Many roads were closed and drivers found themselves unable to reach their destinations via normal routes. On Friday afternoon, traffic on 17A, for example, was backed up to Homestead Village a la Applefest. Many businesses as well as the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce “Caboose” office were forced to close.
