For dessert, professional chefs Donna Kaminski and Georgette Storms and their boss, Pat Flynn, owner of Warwick’s La Petite Cuisine, believe in using local products. And what could be more local than apples from one of Warwick’s orchards? For ingredients you will need 1/2 cup oats; 3/4 cup brown sugar; 1/4 cup butter, six apples, 1/2 cup sugar and one tsp. cinnamon. Use a standard nine-inch pie crust recipe. Mix the 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut the butter into the mix and place aside. Peel, core and slice the apples and mix with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour and one tsp. cinnamon. Spoon the mix into the pie crust. Then pour the remaining ingredients over the pie and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Voila! Bon appetit.
