Warwick youngster on her way to stardom
WARWICK – Her mom says she's an "old soul." And she’s only six years old.
Violet Louise Tinnirello, 6, the daughter of Warwick residents Doug and Annie Tinnirello, has been singing, dancing and acting since age three.
She will soon play Jojo in the upcoming “Seussical the Musical,” with The Acting Out Playhouse, a Warwick award-winning performing arts group directed by Terry Odell.
Searching for 'The White Castle'
But the latest news is that Violet, represented by the Abrams Artists Agency, will now star in the short play, “The White Castle,” for the Samuel French Inc. OffOff Broadway festival, co-staring with Cathy Curtin from “Orange is the New Black.”
In the play, Baby, played by Violet, wants to go to The White Castle, but she doesn’t know what The White Castle is.
The play, which will be presented on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 136 E. 13th Street in Manhattan, is one of 30 short plays. Six will be chosen for representation and published in a collection by Samuel French, Inc.
The young actress has also performed with Palistage Youth Theatre and Helen Hayes Youth Theatre in various shows including "Once on this Island," "Willy Wonka," "Alladin" and "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" as well as many live performances for A Time To Shine Cabaret in New York City.
Violet is also in the short film " A Force for Good."
Commercials, Nickelodeon, HBOAnd she has been featured in several national TV and radio commercials, including Pure Talk Cell Phone, Royal Caribbean and Nickelodeon promos: Nick Jr. Birthday Club and Puppy Preschool.
Violet was the voice of the Character Cappie in the Nick Jr. show “Wallykazam,” and she has just been cast in a new Nickelodeon animated pilot as well as an appearance in an upcoming HBO pilot.
Violet has also been featured on the cover and back jacket of Pharell Williams new book "Happy Kids"
Although acting takes up much of her time, Violet loves school and spending time with all her friends especially playing in the park and enjoying all the local summer concerts and festivals.
'An old soul'“Violet is truly an old soul who has loved watching old movies and musicals since she was a toddler,” said Annie Tinnirello. “Her favorites being Shirley Temple, Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe. She was born with this passion and we are so proud of her. She is a caring and appreciative little girl who truly loves life and to entertain and make people smile.”
