Warwick. Warwick Rotary Club wraps year of service to community
Warwick Valley Rotary Club wrapped its year, with a trio of community events:
Rotarians purchased and delivered meals courtesy of Galloway Grill to senior citizens.
Members also participated in the Warwick Memorial Day Parade.
To cap off Rotarians’ community service, more than a dozen members braved a brutally hot Sunday to paint playground equipment in the Town Park.
“It has truly been an honor to lead the Warwick Valley Rotary over the past very challenging 12 months,” said outgoing President Edward M. Lynch. “I wish to thank every Rotarian for their dedication in living up to our club motto of ‘Service Above Self’ as well as the many in our community who have supported our efforts. By our seven fund raiser events and 14 hands-on community service events, we have directly supported many in our community, including: local businesses and families in need, first responders, senior citizens, veterans, elementary school children and high school students who’ve received our college scholarships.
“I am forever grateful to the women and men of Warwick Rotary,” Lynch added, “who selflessly make Warwick Valley a better place to live.”
