Warwick. Supervisor urges residents to sign up for CodeRed emergency notifications
CodeRED is an emergency notification service by which public safety can notify residents and businesses by telephone or cellular phone about emergency situations. The system is capable of sending messages only to specific neighborhoods or the entire community.
In his weekly online briefing, Warwick Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton urged every resident to sign up for the emergency alert system.
“There are three ways to do so,” Sweeton explained. “You can text WarwickAlert to 99411, go to the home page of our website www.townofwarwick.org, or come to the Town Clerk’s office who will help you register.
“You can choose to be alerted by phone, text and/or email,” he added. “We urge you to choose all of these options. Once on the sign-up page, you do not have to create an account, but you can choose to ‘sign up as a guest.’”
