Warwick. Senior Natalie Daigle wins Town Democratic Committee essay contest
The Warwick Town Democratic Committee is proud the announce the winner of its essay contest on “Moral Choice.”
Warwick Valley High School graduating senior Natalie Daigle has won for her essay on making a life choice that took a divergent path.
Area 11th and 12th grade students were invited to consider a time in their lives when they were faced with right or wrong, acting for the good of all versus what may be good for the self, or other instances where courage, conviction and moral clarity were required in decision-making.
To quote from Natalie’s essay: “Telling my family was frightening simply because I thought they would be disappointed in my dramatic shift.”
Natalie will be celebrated and recognized at the annual Warwick Town Democratic Committee dinner when it is safe to hold it.
In the meantime, she has received a $250 check and our best wishes for success as she transitions to college. Natalie will be attending Vassar College in the fall, majoring in biology and playing lacrosse for the college.
Her essay can be found online at warwicknydems.org.
