Warwick Valley Rotarians are selling long-stem roses as a fund raiser for their three dozen service projects.

The roses, available in a variety of colors for $20 per dozen, will be delivered on Tuesday, April 21, in time for Administrative Professional Day.

Warwick Rose Chair Kristi Greco urged residents to purchase the roses for their loved ones, their valued employees or as part of a local tribute to community seniors and military veterans.

Roses can be ordered online at warwickvalleyrotary.org or by contacting any Warwick Rotarian. Deadline for orders is April 10.

Meanwhile, the Warwick Rotary Club plans to donate 1,000 roses to Warwick senior citizens and military veterans in April.

American Legion Commander and Rotary Past President Stan Martin is coordinating the rose donations to seniors and veterans.

Roses will be distributed again to Liberty Green’s three senior residential buildings, Devon Woods, Mount Alverno Assisted Living Center, Schervier Pavilion, Burt Farms, Creekside Apartments and St. Anthony Community Hospital.

This year Warwick Meals on Wheels recipients and Village Cove residents have been added to list.

Warwick Valley Rotary uses profits from the rose sale and other fund raisers to help support three dozen community non-profit organizations and scholarships.

Roses can be ordered at warwickvalleyrotary.org or by calling Greco at (845)781-6131.

Donations for roses to seniors and veterans can be made on the Rotary website or by contacting Martin at (845) 772-2726.

April 10 is the order deadline.
