Warwick. Rotarians join efforts to prevent substance abuse, suicides

Jennifer Ocasio, coordinator of the Mid-Hudson Prevention Resource Center’s Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council of Orange County, recently informed Warwick Valley Rotarians of the many programs offered for prevention, recovery, treatment, education, training and community involvement.
Her talk tied in with current projects local Rotarians are supporting.
Rotary and the Warwick Valley High School Interact Club will host “Bowl for a Cause” on Sunday, March 15, at Pin Street Lanes in Warwick to help prevent suicide and drug abuse.
Proceeds from the bowling fund raiser will go to Warwick American Legion Post 214, Warwick VFW Post 4662, Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Council of Orange County (ADAC) and National Alliance of Mental Illness of Orange County (NAMI).
