Warwick. Operation Clean Sweep set for April 17 – April 25

| 30 Mar 2021 | 12:33

Each year the Warwick Valley Chamber encourages all people to beautify the area with a clean up of roadsides and parks in the entire Town of Warwick.

The effort will begin Saturday, April 17, and continue throughout the week, ending Sunday, April 25.

This chamber-sponsored event, headed by Board Members Jean Beattie and Ryan Hansen, with help from local Warwick Valley High School student Elizabeth Verboys, invites all individuals, organizations, clubs and families to call the chamber at 845-986-2720 to register your road for cleanup.

The chamber can make arrangements for you to pick up free garbage bags, gloves and safety vests (if you are cleaning a busy road), provided by ShopRite of Warwick, St. Anthony Community Hospital and the law office of Elizabeth Cassidy.

Remember to leave filled bags at the corner of intersections to be picked up by the Town of Warwick DPW on April 26 and 27.
