On July 23, the Friends of the Warwick Library Bridge Marathon held their welcome back and start of a new year luncheon at Hickory Hills Golf Course in Warwick. Twenty four members attended for a four-course lunch.
The Friends of the Library luncheon is an annual event for a group composed of two partnership marathons and a Couples Marathon.
Each member donates $20 to play in each of the marathons for a year with all proceeds donated to the Albert Wisner Public Library.
This year the library will receive $1,200 from the three marathons.
Entrants follow a schedule which tells them whom they will play and who will host the match with time and place decided by the hosting couple.
Scores are kept and at the end of the year annual luncheon, prizes for first, second and third place partnerships are given out.
