Warwick. Offers socially distant transactions

It’s quick, easy and convenient.

That’s what Paul LeDuc, owner of the Warwick Car Wash at 18 Elm St., had in mind when he decided to install new pay stations manufactured by Innovative Control Systems.

Drive-up pay stations allow customers to select and to pay for their car wash package with no physical interaction making it a sensible socially distant transaction.

“The automated pay station,” said LeDuc, “protects both our customers and our staff by limiting face to face interactions and open window transactions. And although the pay station system is automated, staffing numbers remain the same so we can continue to provide personal attention even when it’s through a closed window.”

Using the pay station, he explained, is simple and convenient.

The customer drives up alongside the screen, chooses from a selection of car wash packages displayed, adds on any additional services, pays and then rides through the car wash.

The system accepts cash, credit cards and gift cards. And members of the Warwick Car Wash Club have a barcode attached to the windshield allowing the scanner to read the code and process the transaction.

The Warwick Car Wash also offers a full-service gas station where gas is pumped or a propane tank is filled by an attendant while the driver remains in the car.

Additional services include New York State inspection, oil changes, brake repairs, tire alignment and auto detailing.

Car wash hours are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
