Village of Warwick announces brush disposal schedule
The Village of Warwick will again have the fall brush Disposal Program. A Valid Picture ID showing Village Residency will be required at the site.
Only Village of Warwick residents will be allowed to dispose brush at the disposal site. The disposal area is located at the Village of Warwick Department of Public Works site in Memorial Park.
No commercial operators will be permitted. Brush cannot exceed six inches in diameter. Bagged leaves (paper only) will be accepted. No grass clippings will be allowed.
Hours of operation: Saturdays and Sundays in October and November from noon to 4 p.m. (excluding Applefest Sunday - Oct. 6).
Meeting schedule to Warwick Valley School Board in October changes
The Warwick Valley School Board has adjusted its meeting schedule in October.
The dates for October meetings are:
Tuesday, Oct. 15, 7 p.m. Special meeting followed by a work session on Facilities at the Middle School Media Center.
Monday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m. Regular meeting at the Dorothy C. Wilson Education Center in the Board/Community Room.
The Monday, Oct. 28, work session has been cancelled.
Sanfordville Elementary's 'Touch a Truck' and 'Heroes Week'
Sanfordville Elementary School will host "Touch a Truck" on Friday, Oct. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. This event concludes the school's Heroes Week in which local first responders (local heroes) are celebrated.
Heroes for the night include:
Warwick PD K-9 demonstrations.
Warwick FD Ladder and Water Trucks demos and fire simulator.
Orange County Mounted Patrol Units – Police Horses Play Soccer.
Warwick EMS Vehicles and Demonstrations.
NY Troop 7 Drone and Demonstration.
