Tuxedo Park. Tuxedo Park School to host first in-person open house since the COVID-19 pandemic began on Jan. 11

Tuxedo Park School invites prospective students and families to attend the first in-person open house since the COVID-19 pandemic began on Tuesday, Jan. 11, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

“TPS open houses provide a first-hand glimpse of our location, curriculum, and culture,” said Ruth Teague, director of Enrollment Management. “As a tight-knit community, our student ambassadors, classroom teachers and parents are excited to welcome prospective families back into our hallways. Classrooms are abuzz with activity, from science experiments where students build a car using mousetraps, to lively musical rehearsals for our upcoming concerts. Whether you are looking for a placement in Primary School (PreK-Grade 3), Middle School (Grades 4-6), or Upper School (Grades 7-9) for your child, visiting a school in person is the best way to immerse yourself in the student experience.”

Nurse Shaylynn Botta said that TPS has used health and safety protocols that have protected our school community successfully during this time.

“Tuxedo Park School has implemented conscientious COVID-19 protocols to create an in-person environment where our students feel safe to learn and grow,” Botta said. “We are striving to open our doors for in-person visits once again, but we know this is not possible without all prospective families adhering to our protocols.”

All visitors will be required to wear masks indoors, sanitize upon arrival and provide proof of vaccination. Once families are in the building, the open house will begin with a presentation and Q&A with administrators, followed by a tour of the building during the school day.

Families who are unable to attend the in-person open houses on Jan. 11 and April 12 are invited to campus for in-person tours every Tuesday at 3:15 and 4:15 p.m.
