MIDDLETOWN — The Animal Rights Alliance, Inc. (T.A.R.A.) is celebrating its two years in Middletown at a stationary clinic for dogs.
To date, T.A.R.A. has spayed and neutered more than 3,843 dogs in Orange County and some surrounding areas.
The low-cost facility can accommodate more than 60 dogs per day. TA.R.A. has a grant which provides New York State residents with a lower price than its already low price to spay or neuter.
In the last 13 years, The Animal Rights Alliance has accommodated more than 100,000 cats with and spay/neuter services.
Since the mobile clinic is for cats, T.A.R.A. officials wondered if they would be able to do the same for dogs. With a grant from the A.S.P.C.A. and a bequest from someone they didn’t know, T.A.R.A’s dream of doing so was realized.
T.A.R.A. can now continue to spay cats on its mobile clinic in various Orange county areas, and dogs in Middletown.
