Sustainable Warwick’s new campaign involves helping six Warwick nonprofits
Warwick. Triple win community solar campaign to run until July 15.
Protect the environment, give to local nonprofits and save on your electricity costs.
That’s the message of Sustainable Warwick’s new Triple Win community solar campaign.
The organization recently partnered with Solstice and Astral Power, both offering a customer who signs up as much as a 10 percent discount on their electric bill plus a $100 signup bonus and a $100 referral bonus to one of six Warwick nonprofits.
The nonprofits sharing in the program are the Warwick Valley Humane Society, the Warwick Valley Community Center and Safe Space America, which are partnered with Astral Power.
The nonprofits partnered with Solstice are Family Central, Grow Local and the Town of Warwick Historical Society.
In addition, Village of Warwick Mayor Michael Newhard and Trustee Corey Bachman worked with Sustainable Warwick to obtain New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) approval for the campaign.
The village will then be helping Sustainable Warwick publicize the Triple Win Campaign and, if just 10 people to sign up, the village will receive a $5,000 grant from the Clean Energy Communities program.
The official Village of Warwick campaign will run until July 15.
When you sign up for community solar, you don’t need to have special equipment or wires installed at your home; it is easy to sign up; there are no fees - no application fees, no service fees, no cancellation fees; and you get up to 10 percent off your monthly electricity bill.
