Sugar Loaf. Chamber of Commerce says its mixer hosted record numbers

The Sugar Loaf Chamber of Commerce has announced that its holiday mixer welcomed a record number of guests on Dec. 1 at the Seligman Center.

New chamber officers were joined by more than 50 local business owners, town officials and existing chamber members. Chamber officials believe those numbers assure that bringing businesses and residents together will ensure that the Sugar Loaf, the artisan, business and dining community, will remains strong and vibrant.

“We foresee that we are embarking on one of the strongest periods ever for the chamber,” chamber president Gary Hunsberger said in the chamber’s press release. “It’s been so exciting to see local business owners throughout Sugar Loaf, Chester and Warwick joining and renewing their chamber memberships.”

Chamber officials said they are committed to including civic leaders in networking opportunities to assist members in growing their business. Mixer attendance included:

· Robert Valentine, Town of Chester Supervisor

· Bob Courtenay, Town of Chester Councilman

· Brandon Holdridge, Town of Chester Councilman

· John Vero, Town and Village of Chester and northern Town of Warwick Orange County legislator.

· Newly elected chamber officers, Gary Hunsberger, president; Jessica Hengen, treasurer; Stephanie Miranda, assistant treasurer; and Sharon Soons, secretary.

Attendees at the holiday mixer were well-fed by Allan’s Falafel and the Sugar Loaf Tap House and entertained by the acoustic sounds of Ugly George.
