St. Anthony Community Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is undergoing an extensive upgrade of its Radiology Department that will deliver faster and more accurate diagnoses.
The $10 million project is expected to significantly increase the size of the current Radiology Department with three newly renovated rooms.
The suite enhancements will accommodate new X-ray, CT and MRI equipment that will accompany a new ultrasound machine.
Additionally, 3D mammography will soon be available at the Women’s Imaging Center at Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Warwick.
“Our investment in our expanded Radiology Department and advanced technologies is a testament to our commitment to provide the highest level of care for our patients,” said Anita Volpe, vice president and hospital administrator at St. Anthony Community Hospital.
Construction kicked off last week with a ceremony attended by hospital administration, department leaders, local officials and members of the community.
Phase One of the construction is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2020, and the next phases will be spread out over the course of the next few years to provide a state-of-the-art Radiology Department.
