Sharing the Gift of Life: Organ donor awareness

WARWICK — Today, with more than 123,000 names on the national transplant waiting list — and another name added every 12 minutes — chances are that we all know someone leading an ordinary life that will take an extraordinary turn because of organ transplantation.
On Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. the Albert Wisner Public Library invites the community to a celebration of life. Organ donor recipients, donors and the families of donors will share their life changing stories and experiences.
Medical professionals will provide a discussion of the facts about organ donation and the amazing changes donations have made in the lives of their patients.
