Kindergarten students from Theresa Canfield’s class hung up cold weather items donated by Pine Island Elementary School students on a fence at Pine Island Park as part of a community effort called “Warwick Spreads the Warmth.”
Warwick resident Kerri Fenton Foley came up with the idea to invite community members to donate winter accessories for those in need.
Canfield’s class stuffed 80 plastic bags with new or gently worn gloves, hats and scarves donated by all of the classes at Pine Island Elementary School.
