Dr. Luo, a long time Orange County resident and volunteer at the OCCA, is chief physicist at Garnet Medical Center. His specialties include radiation therapy, nuclear medicine, medical physics and diagnostic imaging. He also has a passion for hiking and fishing, according to the press release.
“I have had the pleasure of working closely with Kangjian for many years and thank him for his outstanding leadership,” Dr. Luo said in a statement. “I am pleased that I will continue to benefit from his guidance and insights moving forward.”
Dr. Kangjian, who was OCCA president for seven years, is stepping down for personal reasons. He said in a board meeting that this is “the right time for me personally, as I focus more on my family.”
